Broadway actor, Quentin Oliver Lee, who’s best known for his role as Phantom in the “Phantom Tour of the Opera,” passed away at the age of 34. The tragic news of the actor’s demise was confirmed by his wife, Angie Lee Graham.

Cause of Lee’s Death

The Grammy winner actor who was quite popular for off-Broadway role in “Oratorio for Living Things,” died after battling long with Stage 4 Colon cancer.

Angie on Thursday took to her social media platform Instagram and penned a heartfelt message for her husband as she revealed the upsetting news to Lee’s fans. 

As per her post, Lee passed away in the “Wee Hours,” of Thursday morning. She also noted that it was the “most beautiful moment” of her life.

Who’s Angie Lee Graham?

For those who are unfamiliar with Angie, let us tell you, she is an actress, director and singer. The wife of the late actor holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts and Acting. 

The entrepreneur completed her bachelor’s degree in theatre from Southern Virginia University.

After successfully completing his graduation, she went on to pursue her dream of acting as she performed in various cities such as Wyoming, Minnesota, Tennessee, Virginia, New York among many more. 

As per a report by mormonwiki, the actress has directed a theatre work in Hong Kong as well. The director was married to a Grammy winner actor, Quentin Oliver Lee until his death on Thursday.

The couple used to travel together for their national tour of ‘The Phantom of the Opera.’ 

The entrepreneur who seems to be quite private about her personal life hails from Orem, Utah. The theatre maker is also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Angie Lee’s Heartfelt Tribute

The director of the theatre took to her Instagram which is a private account and revealed the passing of her beloved husband as she penned, “I saw his last breaths, held his hand tight, and felt his heartbeat slowly drift away.”

The emotional mother further added, “He had a smile on his face, and was surrounded by those he loved. It was peaceful, and perfect.”

While sharing a series of pictures with her husband and their daughter, she recalled her husband as an “incredible man, husband, father, son, brother, friend, singer, actor, and disciple of Christ with great faith in his Father in Heaven.”

Angie further continued as she asked her fans and friends to understand “if I don’t respond, but trust that your messages and love have been read and felt.”

Quentin Oliver Lee Career

Let us remind you the actor had begun his national tour for The Phantom of the Opera back in December 2017. 

The actor also appeared in the 2017 Broadway musical Prince of Broadway and the 2021 revival of Caroline, and Oratorio for Living Things.

Back in September, this year, the Broadway community announced a benefit concert for Lee as the actor was fighting cancer. 

At the time, his friend, and famous composer, Brett Macias, shared a poster advertising the event. He penned that Lee “is a righteous dude and their family doesn’t deserve this.”

Ahead of the concert in October, 2022, Brett further shared a picture of Lee on his Instagram, showing the actor performing for the last time. 

Back in June, Lee announced to his fans that he is suffering from stage 4 Colon cancer. At the time, Angie and their family opened a GoFundMe page to help Lee’s medical expenses. 

They mentioned in their page’s bio “keep the lights on [and] keep food on the table.” As of now, the page has raised a fund of around $45,000.
