The American journalists Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes reportedly started dating each other after calling quits from their ex-spouses.
According to a report by the People, the relationship between the couple was made public on Wednesday when a few pictures of them holding hands while being cozy during vacation in New York surfaced online.

Meanwhile, a source has come forward and revealed to the media outlet People that Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes started dating each other after going their separate ways from their former spouses.

In a recent conversation with the outlet, the insider who claims to know the whole situation revealed that, “This was two consenting adults who were each separated.
“They both broke up with their spouses in August within weeks of each other,” before adding “The relationship didn’t start until after that.”
The 49-year-old ABC reporter married famous actor Andrew Shue back in 2010. On the other hand, the national television personality, T.J. Holmes, married a Attorney, Marilee Fiebig, in the same year as Robach’s marriage.
The source further added while stating that the co-anchor of 20/20 got “nothing to hide.”
The insider told the outlet that, “She’s got nothing to hide. They were both separated so they felt very comfortable dating in the open after that. Their spouses had moved out, even! So they were not hiding anything.”
As per the reports, the fill-in anchor for Good Morning America is all set to returning on the air on Thursday morning. After the pictures of the couple holding hands in the car and being cozy in New York found its way on social media, another source came forward and revealed that the couple were stunned after seeing their photos.
Chemistry Between Amy Robach and T.J Holmes Was In Display For A While
As per the source, the chemistry between the two had been on display for a while in their newsroom. The source revealed that, “There were rumors they were having an affair about a year ago.”
The source further added, “A lot of people believed that there might have been some truth to it, because you can see there’s a mutual affection there.
“But everyone ultimately chalked it up to friendship because they always said they were both happily married.”

In an earlier interview with the People, the breaking news anchor opens up about their friendship as she stated, “[They] said, ‘Hey, we want to bring on a co-anchor. What do you think of T.J. Holmes?’ And I almost fell out of my chair.”
She further added, “My God. You couldn’t have picked a better person to ask me what I thought of, because we’ve been trying to figure out a way to work together for literally the last five years.”

Amy further went on to reveal that they even went on several double dates with their spouses together as she stated, “The moment he started at ABC, I think we just clicked.
“We’ve gone on tons of double dates with our spouses and my daughters babysit his daughters.”
