However, on Sunday, February 26, Selena Gomez was nowhere to be found at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Despite Selena and her co-stars Martin Short and Steve Martin being nominated for three awards at the illustrious event, neither of them showed up on the red carpet.
The group made an appearance on a pre-recorded sketch during the event’s start. Additionally, Cara Delevingne and Ashley Park, two other actors from the series, did appear for photos with the paparazzi.

Reason Why Selena Gomez Skips Red Carpet
According to Elle magazine, Selena Gomez might have chosen to miss the 2023 SAG Awards’ red carpet today because she is in New York City filming the third season of her show Only Murders in the Building.
At the ceremony tonight, the comedy series was nominated for three prizes, including Outstanding Ensemble Performance in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series for Martin Short and Steve Martin. But neither performer took first place in the competition.
Selena Gomez Relations with Co-Stars
Gomez recently talked openly to Vanity Fair about Martin and Short. Even though she does not like to refer to them as her grandpas, she said they “kind of are” and expressed her affection for them.
Selena also admitted that she would frequently laugh at the same jokes that performers would tell her. The founder of Rare Beauty went on to say that Steve Martin likes to email her team while only Martin Short texts her.
What’s amusing is that Steve won’t text me, but Marty will, she remarked. Although he has my email address, he won’t transmit it to me. He’ll deliver it to my aide.
