Britney Spears expressed her feelings of surprise following her separation from actor Sam Asghari. In an Instagram video posted on Saturday, she donned a neon green bikini bottom, a black crop top, and tall black boots while dancing to Janet Jackson’s “If.” She conveyed, “As everyone knows, Hesam and I are no longer together… 6 years is a long time to be with someone so, I’m a little shocked but… I’m not here to explain why because it’s honestly nobody’s business!!!”
Sam Asghari, aged 29, initiated the process to dissolve his 14-month-old marriage to the 41-year-old pop superstar in a Los Angeles County court. Irreconcilable differences were cited as the reason for the split in his divorce filing, a common explanation in California divorce cases.
Asghari’s filing specified July 28 as the date of their separation, although reports of the separation only surfaced on Wednesday. He intends to seek financial support from Britney while preventing her from obtaining any from him. Additionally, he seeks to have her cover his divorce legal fees.
In her Instagram post, Spears reflected, “But, I couldn’t take the pain anymore honestly!!! In some sort of telepathic way, I have been receiving so many messages that melt my heart from friends and I thank you!!!”
Britney Spears, who married Asghari in June 2022, shared her plan to buy a horse, posting a picture of herself smiling while riding one on the beach the day after the separation was made public. She’s known for sharing dancing videos in bikinis on Instagram with her 42 million followers.
However, on Saturday, she disclosed, “I’ve been playing it strong for way too long, and my Instagram may seem perfect but it’s far from reality, and I think we all know that!!! I would love to show my emotions and tears on how I really feel, but for some reason, I’ve always had to hide my weaknesses!!!”
The filing notes that the value of Britney Spears’ and Asghari’s assets, including joint holdings, is yet to be determined. The couple did not have any children together, and Spears mentioned that they experienced the loss of a baby early in her pregnancy in May 2022.
Asghari also addressed the breakup on his Instagram stories, urging fans and the media to be “kind and thoughtful.” He wrote, “After six years of love and commitment to each other, my wife and I have decided to end our journey together. We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other, and I wish her the best always.”
Britney concluded, “If I wasn’t my dad’s strong soldier, I would be sent away to places to get fixed by doctors!!! But that’s when I needed family the most!!! You’re supposed to be loved unconditionally… not under conditions!!! So I will be as strong as I can and do my best!!! And I’m actually doing pretty damn good!!!
