Dancing with the Stars fame judge Hayley Erbert and fiancée Derek Hough are making headlines after the power couple revealed they were caught in a “scary car accident.”
As per reports, the 37-year-old American professional dancer was caught up in a car accident in the Mountains earlier this month, and now the celebrity couple is opening up about the “scary accident” for the first time to their fans and followers.
For those who are unfamiliar with the situation, let us tell you, Hayley took to her social media platform as she revealed that, earlier this month, the couple was traveling to California mountains when they experienced the scare on the roads.
Hayley Erbert Revealed About Accident
The 28-year-old dancer took to her Instagram and opened up about their accident as she stated, “On December 12, Derek and I got into a pretty scary car accident.
“Our accident involved a steep hill, icy roads, a tree, and worst of all, the fear that we would slide off the mountain. Given the circumstances, we have so much to be grateful for.”
In her Instagram post, Hayley shared a video which revealed the aftermath of the couple’s accident including their car damage, visit to emergency room and the moment when the stad received stitches in her forehead.
The animal enthusiast revealed that they were both doing “okay,” before saying that “I only walked away a little banged up, a swollen face, and four stitches above my eyebrow.
“Now, more than ever, we realize how fragile life is and how important it is to love those around you. We hope that everyone has a safe, healthy, and happy holiday season.”
Meanwhile, in her post, Derek revealed that after the accident Hayley doesn’t remember anything.
Hayley Doesn’t Remember Anything
The former ABC’s Dancing with the Star member, wrote in his comment that, “The scariest part was that Hayley doesn’t remember anything.”
He further added that “She was dazed afterwards, being cheerful saying we should keep going to dinner as blood ran down her face. That really scared me.”
He also pointed out the fact that Erbert finally “came to” 20 minutes post accident when the first responders arrived at the scene.
For those who are curious about how the couple were doing now, let us tell you, the pair opted to treat themselves to snacks after leaving the emergency room.
The couple also expressed their gratitude to paramedics for their quick response. On Friday Morning, December 23, Hough was spotted out and he seemed to be in quite good spirits.
The judge of the dance reality competition, ended her post on a positive note as she continued, “Now, more than ever, we realize how fragile life is and how important it is to love those around you.
